Hi, I’m Dorie Barnes, licensed massage therapist and sole proprietor of a newly established mobile massage business in Harpswell, Maine. My goal is provide relaxation and pain relief for the residents of Harpswell and the midcoast area by providing in home services. 

Credentials 

I am a graduate of Zardus School of Massage in Gardiner, Maine as of May 31, 2021. I have studied many modalities since finishing massage school, where I established a strong foundation in Swedish and deep tissue techniques. I earned a certificate in medical massage in June 2021. I am also a certified reflexologist that received my training in 2021 through SoleWise school of reflexology in Winthrop, Maine. I passed the nationally recognized massage and bodywork licensing exam, the MBLEX, December 2021. Passing this exam is not required to practice massage in Maine but I hope it acts as a testament of my commitment to the field of massage. In the summer of 2023 I completed introductory classes in deep tissue massage, Lomi Lomi, Thai massage, hot stone massage, manual lymph drainage massage, and chair massage. I am a member of the American Massage Therapy Association and I also have CPR and First Aid training. I also take all precautions to keep my equipment clean and sanitary, strictly adhering to COVID-19 guidelines. 

I look forward to giving back to a community where I have such deep roots. The Barnes family has lived in Harpswell for over 280 years and I am thrilled for this opportunity to give back to my community!
